These guided notes introduce students to the purpose of matrices. There are many real life examples on how a matrix can be used to organize and display information. Basics of matrices such as dimensions (order), elements, locations, transpose, row and column matrices, size and number of elements are discussed and defined. There are several example problems for guided practice within the notes. The notes are 2 pages in length.
The independent practice worksheet is 1 page and contains 12 problems.
The preview shows a mix of the notes and worksheet, the red part is a portion of the included answer key. I also have the notes presentation available with purchase. Just email me at email@example.com and I will send you that file separately.
I designed these to be used for North Carolina (NC) Discrete mathematics course. These will fit nicely into any subject requiring matrices.
