PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This measurement practical is designed to be set up with six stations, each using
a different type of measuring equipment. The six stations are:

1 - Temperature
2 - Length
3 - Mass
4 - Time
5 - Volume
6 - Volume by displacement

This lab activity is a great way to introduce students to various ways of measuring properties of objects and the corresponding units. For younger grades (6-7), this usually takes about 1-1.5 hours and I like to follow it up with a discussion of device uncertainties and human error. I've also used it with older grades (8-9) as a quick refresher before a lab unit.

The activity is ready to be printed and distributed. The necessary equipment includes:

- Ruler / Meter stick
- Thermometer
- Stopwatch (students typically use their phones)
- Mass scale
- Triple beam scale
- Beakers
- Graduated Cylinders (I usually use 500 mL so that objects can be dropped in)
- Copper Sulphate
- Misc classroom objects

I have included both Word document and pdf versions of the file so that you can
make any necessary changes.
