Are the rumors true? I use this activity in my classroom during the first week of school to see what my incoming middle schoolers are concerned/excited about. Using these sheets, students can anonymously ask about lockers, schedules, lunch time, social interactions, etc. Each student fills out one or more sheet. I choose one student to be in charge of a bell and another to be in charge of a buzzer. I pull the sheets out of a basket and as I read each one, we discuss whether each topic is true (bell) or false (buzzer).
