Student-Authored word problems are a great way to motivate students in math. When students are able to create their own word problems, it makes it easier to comprehend the structure of a word problem, it is easier for them to solve the problems, and the problems are more interesting to the students.
Included in this set are:
- 12 practice sheets with interesting clip art of things and their parts (i.e. 4 cakes with 4 candles on each, 7 flower pots with 3 flowers in each)
- Each sheet has lines for students to write their own word problem to match the pictures.
-Students then write the expression, equation, and repeated addition.
-8 practice sheets with clip art of things with missing parts for students to draw. (i.e. 3 fish bowls and students draw an equal amount of fish in each bowl)
- I've also included a SAMPLE student sheet already filled out.
