Introduce students to one of the world's greatest artists, Pablo Picasso with a video that speaks directly to the child. You can play it in your classroom through your iPad or laptop or at home on any computer or tablet. Also go through basic art vocabulary with worksheets that are included. Students create a piece of artwork based on Picasso's Flowers for a special person or holiday and you get a sweet bulletin board while you're at it!
The 6-minute video takes children through the history of Pablo Picasso, asking questions of them and having them ponder Picasso's styles and periods and how the elements and principles of art are used in his artwork. Including color, unity, balance and emphasis.
This easy to teach lesson is done with only 4 materials, construction paper, glue sticks, white paper for background and black markers. Anyone can do it, art teachers, classroom teachers and homeschoolers.
