This push and pull activity may be used to introduce reasons for immigration. Students will learn class definitions for "push factors" and "pull factors". Each will engage with someone's real journey and analyze their person's push or pull factors. Then, they get to engage with others and learn about other's stories and what factors made them immigrate. At the end, they will reflect about their family's immigration story.
