Product Description
Students, beginning a Unit on Macbeth, are usually both fearful and excited. By providing students with background knowledge of the period, and by letting them discover the information on their own, the teacher allows students to become more comfortable with the text they are about to experience. By understanding the Elizabethan era, students are more likely to comprehend Shakespeare and generate their own opinions that reach further than those of excitement and fear. As a result, students will be better able to analyze and summarize important scenes, characters, and themes from the play.
