•These pages make it easy to introduce strip diagrams using the, "I do, We do, You do" approach. Each page builds on the page before, allowing students to build their understanding of strip diagrams.
Page 1 discusses what strip diagrams are and how they are made of parts.
Page 2 allows you to solve strip diagrams by themselves, with no word problems. Students are trying to figure out if they are solving for a "part" or for the "whole".
Page 3 allows for students to solve with a word problem AND a strip diagram.
Page 4 only gives a word problem and students must draw their own strip diagram to solve.
Pages 5 & 6 allow for students to practice what they've learned with a strip diagram matching activity.
