Great intro for demand that involves group work. In this lesson, students separate into groups to determine the law of demand. Each group gets a different item to poll the class about. One person from each group will survey the class to see their willingness to buy each item for the given price. After polling their class, they graph their findings and create their own law of demand. Teacher should use cfus at end of class to make sure each group found the correct law of demand. You may substitute any items to fit your class better and offer extra points for color displays on graphs.
