This is a one page Word document with approximately 20 questions directly related to the "Intro to the Nervous System PPT" which is sold separately. All of the questions in this worksheet go in order of the PPT so there is no guessing and no tricks. The student doesn't have to search the entire PPT for the answers to the questions. The KEY is included.
This assignment is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments.
The student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. A nice feature of assignments that are used on the computer along with an electronic copy of the PPT is that the assignment can be 'pinned' to one side of the computer screen and the PPT pinned to the other so the student can see both the assignment and the PPT they're working from at the same time. The student's completed answer sheet will look much the teacher's answer KEY. I love technology!
The PPT can be printed and handed to the student, or it can be used electronically so no paper is wasted. This assignment can be converted to a paper copy by simply removing the red asterisks and adding lines for students to place their answers. Since it is in Word, it is very easily modified or tweaked. However, even if a student is absent when this assignment is presented, I give them the original copy with the red asterisks and there's plenty of room to write their answers without having to modify the document at all. Make it yours!
