This 3-page printable contains everything you need to introduce the fascinating ancient Greek city-state, Sparta, to your class!
The lesson starts with a brief introduction about Sparta, and also includes a few key images for students to view including a map, artifacts, and sketches. Also included are unusual facts and other interesting bits of information.
After the introduction, students can independently (or in small groups) answer the comprehension questions, then spend some time comparing and contrasting their lives today compared to that of a Spartan boy and/or girl. Sharing their observations is a fun way to end the activity.
I hope you enjoy this printable. It can be used across a variety of grade levels, and can be used as a group or independent activity.
