This SMART BOARD lesson is an interactive way to use concrete models to show computations and numerical relationships. Students will see the representations of what they do concretely on the Smart Board. These situations provide a great introduction to the bar model or strip diagram representations. Lesson is designed to allow students to explore ways to represent a mathematical situation without giving an answer. The focus of the lesson is the modeling of the situation, not on getting a correct answer. It can be used as a mini-lesson, small group, or station rotation work since it is self checking. Created with Smart Notebook 16.
