Introduction Science Unit: Observations vs Inferences, Modeling, Metric System

This a three day lesson unit I use at the beginning of the year in my science classroom. Day one I typically review my syllabus and then complete the observation vs. inference activity. Day two I review the metric system. On day three I introduce modeling and discuss its importance in the science classroom. All three activities are hands on and engaging. A great way for students to become excited about the science classroom.
