PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Is the concept of the teen universal, or do different eras produce different teens? Students use the list of descriptions to define today's teenage culture. Students then use the included note sheet to take notes on the last 20 minutes of the documentary Teenage, which depicts the evolution of the teenager in the 1940's. Students return to their brainstorm to do the same for the 1940's teen. This allows students to compare/contrast today's teen to the teen of the 1940's and understand the world in which Holden lives, as well as how he is a representative for the teens of the time.
