This game includes 16 separate matching puzzle piece sets that can be used to review cells and cell organelles.
It can be used for individual students, learning centers, stations, pairs, or as a group activity. All you need to do is print, laminate, and cut the puzzle pieces. I print sets out in different colors, and give each student or group of students a different color.
Students can match the puzzle pieces just as they are for a quick learning activity, or they can follow the review game directions.
For the game, students can hide the edges of the long portion of puzzle pieces under the laminated set of review game directions. Each student picks up one short puzzle piece at a time and then pulls out a long portion to match with it. If it is correct then the puzzle pieces will fit together. If it is not correct then the student must slide the long portion under the laminated set of directions so that only the clue is showing again and the cut portion is hidden. Students can take turns. The one who has the most correct matches wins.
My students like to repeat this type of activity later as a quick review for the test. Students can also use them as a quick set of flash cards. One student can call out the clue on the long piece while not showing any of the card to the other student. The other student can use the short puzzle pieces as a word bank.
