PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Use these guided notes to introduce students to derivatives for the first time! Students first graph the function f(x) = x2 and then attempt to find the rate of change at a given point. Students learn that they must find the slope or gradient of the tangent line at a point. Using the limit definition of a derivative, students are then led to find the derivative of various polynomial functions. Created for IB Math SL, but great for introductory Calculus as well.
