Product Description
This activity introduces students to different functions (linear, quadratic, cubic, exponential, and reciprocal). Students use their graphing calculator to produce the graph and table of 4 different equations and they discover what parts of the equation make the graph move. After experiments 1-5 are done with the calculator, experiment 6 is done as a summary to ensure they have mastered the different functions.

I usually have each group start with one experiment then they present their findings to the class then I'll assign experiment 6 as a summary.

All 6 experiments are included with answer key. Directions for group presentations are included along with a worksheet for the students to fill out while other groups are presenting.
