Description
This Introduction to Photography lesson is designed as one of the first lessons to teach in a photo course. It serves as a way to show students that they can achieve beautiful photographs without the use of their eyes. It also introduces them to a successful photographer who has been focusing on photography since he lost his vision in his twenties.
The students are tasked with taking photographs while blindfolded and having to rely on their other senses to help find a subject. They will also participate in a class critique and discussion of the artist to know, assignment, and end result.
This pack has everything you need to introduce this photo project:
➣Lesson plan
➣Blind photography presentation
➣Blind photography critique
➣Sensory photo labels

This product was created in collaboration with my amazing friend and coworker, Meagan Brooker. Meagan has taught for many years, with a focus on AP Art, Drawing, and Photography. In addition, she has been responsible for capturing our annual family photographs, maternity, and newborn pictures that I will treasure forever. This girl knows her stuff, and better yet, how to teach it to students.
