This is a bundle of three lessons (22 pages) to introduce students to the concept of electric circuits and accompanying PowerPoint slides (23 slides).
The three lessons are planned in detail with clear learning objectives (what students should be able to do) and learning outcomes (what students should have achieved).
The package also contain, materials needed for each lesson and student worksheets.
The lessons include:
***LESSON 1 (Conductors and Insulators). This lesson was planned using the Inductive Teaching Model, to encourage students to categorize conductors and insulators and arrive at a conclusion based on their own categorization.
***LESSON 2 (Terminals of a Bulb). This lesson was planned using the Direct Interactive Teaching Model that is divided into segments to allow students to understand a simple electric circuit.
***LESSON 3 (Series and Parallel Circuits). This lesson was also planned using the Direct Interactive Teaching Model, and divided into teachable segments. It builds on the previous lesson and takes students through exploring the current flow in a parallel and series circuit.
