PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This Power Point slideshow can be used to introduce the terms factor, factor pair, and multiple. It defines the terms and demonstrates how you can make arrays to help you find all of the factor pairs of number. The last slide can be printed out so students can apply what they have learned using hands-on manipulatives to identify all of the possible arrays (and thus factor pairs/factors) of the given numbers. Note: All of the numbers included in this slide show are even numbers, but you can have students try to find all of the arrays for numbers like 5 or 17, which leads into a discussion about prime vs composite numbers.
