This fun powerpoint lesson is the perfect introductin to fractions for young students. Fractions are presented as equal parts of a whole or as equal parts of a group. Students learn that the denominator is the number on the bottom of a fraction and it represents how many parts in all. The numerator is the number on the top of a fraction and represents the number of parts being considered. The lesson is presented in eleven slides, followed by an eight-slide "quiz". The last slide is a review of the concepts taught and practiced. This presentation uses color and fun animation to capture students' attention, without distracting backgrounds or patterns. My students loved it, I'm sure yours will too!
