Holes by Louis Sachar: An Introduction.
After reading the first two chapters of Holes this resource is a useful method of getting students to consider how authors use narrative devices to 'hook the reader. It then moves on allowing the students to consider the character of Stanley and how he ended up at Green Lake. The resource is designed to be used with younger children but can also be used as a stimulus for discussion with older students. If you download this resource please rate it and send me feedback.
