In this Algebra 2 lesson, students will be introduced to imaginary numbers and the complex number system. They will learn to define and identify imaginary numbers, including understanding the meaning of , the square root of -1. Students will also practice simplifying powers of and writing complex numbers in the form a + bi. This lesson builds the foundation for working with complex operations and solving quadratic and polynomial equations with imaginary solutions.
