Introduction to Multiplication Mini Unit

This is a great mini - unit that starts with real world problems to introduce multiplication to your students. Students work on problems with partners and the teacher guides them to an understanding of multiplication as a way to solve problems with equal groups. The unit then leads into problems with pictures to practice writing equations and solving problems. Plenty of practice included.
