In introducing narrative writing to my students, I found that one of the easiest strategies is to break it down, step by step, with this Narrative Comic Activity!

Students loved this! They were able to write about a day in their lives using pictures, captions, dialogue, and a short plot line to tell a short story through a comic!

This is a complete lesson plan, including standards-aligned teaching strategies, activities, resources, and formative/summative assessments. An awesome resource, middle or high school!
