Students are usually pretty familiar with narrative nonfiction text's so similar to all the fiction they have been reading! I made this PowerPoint and note set when I saw the need to introduce my students to the structure of non-narrative nonfiction, also commonly referred to as informational texts. I use this as an informal texts unit introduction so that we can have intelligent class discussions about what we are reading. I hope you find it as beneficial as I do!
