This provides a framework for students to practice writing their own opinion using a topic. There are 5 levels of differentiation within the packet:
p. 2 Title provided with a checklist to help students to make sure the important components of persuasive writing are present.
p. 3 Writing frame provided with clear structure for students to "plug in" their topic and reasoning. It ends with a counter argument statement before the closing statement.
p. 4 Writing frame provided with clear structure. The counter argument has been removed.
p. 5 Writing frame provided with only four places that students should fill in their own words or ideas. There is room to draw a supporting reason.
p. 6 Writing frame provided with the simplest of sight words. Only two words need to be filled in. The closing sentence is traced and there is room to draw to support their ideas.
