PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson aligns with the Common Core State Standards:
"STANDARD 6 - Force and Motion
The teacher understands and applies the concepts that describe force and motion and the principles that explain them.
6B. understands the concepts and interrelationships of force (including gravity and friction), inertia, work, power, energy, and momentum
6C. understands the nature and properties of electricity and magnetism.
6G. describes the effects of gravitational, electromagnetic, and nuclear forces in real life situations."

PowerPoint lesson IV in the "Forces" unit - Introductory physics. This lesson explains the four universal forces and their effects on matter; Newton's law of gravity and gravitational effects; and explains centripetal force and the motions that are associated with this force.
A separate student note guide is available for this lesson.

PowerPoint lessons contain many graphics and links to short videos to further student understanding.
PowerPoint slides also contain notes for the instructor based on students most "frequently asked questions" or FAQ's to help clarify the subject.
A class activity is included at the end of each lesson and a 20-question interactive quiz/review at kahoot.it is also included as a link in the last slide.
