Introduces the concept of printmaking and the most basic type, relief print. Includes brief history, terms, and instructions. Also, reminds students to self-evaluate throughout the process with a group critique as the conclusion.
This project is designed as the first project in a high school level introduction to printmaking class. It is meant to be a quick get to know you project. Instead of a woodcut print, students will carve potato halves as a warm up for future carvings.
