Product Description
Students use visual clues and a short excerpt from Shakespeare's Hamlet to discover four of the characters and one of the primary conflicts. By using step-by-step prompts and questions, students analyze characterization, word choice, allusions, and conflict in Hamlet's first soliloquy in Act I of the play. In doing so, students are introduced to Hamlet himself and how he views his mother, his step father, and his father. Students can also see that, if one really looks at the language, Shakespearean drama can be read and understood.
