Prior to reading the plan, students will take Cornell style notes on the information presented on the slides. he slides also include video links to enhance understanding.
We use this as a flipped classroom assignment where the students view the PowerPoint and videos at home and take notes, but this could also be done in class. After students are familiar with the information, they will move through four interactive stations that focus on Shakespeare's language, the Elizabethan Era, Romeo and Juliet, and the Globe Theatre. The file includes two PowerPoint style slide shows and all worksheets for the stations.
This assignment and other engaging activities can also be
purchased in our Romeo and Juliet Unit teacher’s bundle.
