A short powerpoint to help ease students into Shakespeare's language. It requires the students to participate in a safe, fun way and allows them to see that Shakespeare's English isn't so scary after all. Can be edited to include more info, pictures etc or left as is. First activity is to have students say the word "O" in a variety of ways- emphasizes tone. The second activity asks them to read the same sentence several times, but emphasizing a different word with each reading. Allows them to see intent, emphasis and tone. My students loved it as an ice breaker on the first day of school. It gets them speaking the words and gives them some control over the language.
