This resource is for any student, grade 4 to adult who has little to no Spanish exposure/instruction. It is ideal for use as a visual for going over the basics of the language when tutoring Spanish 1.
The handout begins with a couple of greetings followed by a guide to pronunciation and a link to my favorite website for teaching the alphabet. (Note the descriptions when you hold the cursor over each letter to discover which letters are only seen in dictionaries prior to 1994.) Also note that you may need to hold down CTRL and then click on the link for it to work.
Then, the document gives an introduction to colors and numbers. This handout is meant to give students the opportunity to practice pronunciation of new words and access links that give them practice on the new vocabulary. I also include a link that is a listening activity for practicing numbers 0-100.
Finally, the document ends with a couple of ways to say goodbye.
