This is what I use for Day 1 teaching Transformations.
I have used the same 4 presentations for the start of this chapter:
Day 1 = Introduction to Transformations
Dat 2 = Translations
Day 3 = Reflections
Day 4 = Rotations
I usually use Google Slides or Powerpoint to show this presentation but a PDF really captures everything. (I haven't put the time in to add transitions or animations anyway.)
Day 1: Introduction to Transformations slides give a good foundation for the work we do with specific isometries. It introduces the terms rigid motion, isometry, preimage, image, and mapping. It uses a marching band as an example to work through the vocabulary and then provides more "mathy"/"number" examples to practice students' skills.
