Introduction to Vectors Task Cards plus Homework
For many students Vectors is a difficult topic. This introductory activity will give your students a solid foundation before moving on to magnitude, unit vectors, etc. Topics include:
☑ Cards 1 - 4 - Defining a vector from two points
☑ Cards 5 - 12 - Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication by a scalar to be done algebraically
☑ Cards 13 - 20 Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication by a scalar graphical representation
There are two sets of cards for #1 - 12, one set with component notation and the other in i J k form. Use them separately or mix and match.
Also included in a 14 question multiple choice handout which can be used as Homework, Assessment, or enrichment. It is in Multiple choice format and includes both forms of vector notation. Answer keys and students response forms also included in this resource.
