This presentation walks you through an intro of some of the main human body systems in 48 slides. It provides explanations as well as fun facts for each of the systems covered; skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, and digestive.
I use this powerpoint along with articles, my text book, brainpop.com videos, and other teaching manipulatives to make it last 1-2 weeks.
The best part is that a project is included at the end of the lesson that can extend your teaching an additional week! Even better…a rubric is included on the last slide to help grade the project with ease. I recommend displaying the rubric at all times so that the students can work independently on their research. My students LOVE this project each year and have a lot of fun researching and creating their "wanted posters."
