Product Description
This Common Core Resource will help introduce your students to using the number line to represent fraction amounts. They will become familiar with the concept that all fractions fall between 0 and 1. They will also be able to identify where on the number line various fractions fall. This mini-unit will be downloaded as a zipped file and includes a short introductory video and the pdf version of the actual mini-unit. In this mini-unit you will get an introductory worksheet that has students practice how to locate various fractions on the number line. You will also receive two activities.

"Hop to Fractions" - This is an interactive activity that helps students learn to estimate where a fraction belongs in relationship to one-half. Your students will be "jumping" at the chance to play this active game. It includes all playing cards and student number line.

"Eat the Fly"- This game is a lot of fun and involves students competing against each other to find the fraction that is represented by the number line card that is being displayed. Once again all game pieces, game cards and answer key are provided.
