PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NO-PREP NEEDED! PPT, practice worksheet, exit ticket, check for understanding questions, visuals, and video clips! I am confident you will find this a valuable resource!

Great introductory PPT on the rock cycle. Students start off by describing how rock candy is formed and are then shown a quick clip on "real life rock candy" (a massive rock and mineral mine in Chihuahua, Mexico). This is used as a hook to get students interested in what they most likely assume to be a boring unit.
Students then learn the three types of rocks and their formation. Links to clips are included throughout.
Straightforward and easy to understand for both you and your students. A great addition to your first or second lesson on the rock cycle! Check for understanding questions are at the end of the PPT. I have students demonstrate mastery before passing out the practice worksheet.
