This is a 5-page introductory assignment in Word with the KEY. It is in a style that I often use to assess reading comprehension while introducing new material - there are several paragraphs to read, then questions to answer after the paragraphs. All 5 senses are addressed.
This assignment is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments.
The student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. The students' completed assignment will look much like your answer key (if correct!). I love technology!
If you'd rather make a paper copy as a handout, simply delete the red asterisks and type lines for answers instead.
