This is something new! A new way to teach, test and learn Introductory Chemistry in a single computer program.
Introductory Chemistry is the first in a interactive series of learning programs that combine theory, labs and videos to teach Science Concepts (SciCo). SciCo is ideal for the home schooled or independent learner and for students who want to expand their understanding of science.
Introductory Chemistry, includes several labs. demonstrations and activities. Topics include:
Who Needs Chemistry?
What is the Matter?
Do Gases Have Mass?
The Nature of Matter
Kinetic Molecular Theory
KMT Intermolecular Attractions and Phase Changes
Mixtures and Substances
KMT Substances and Mixtures
KMT and Solutions
Separating Substances from Mixtures
KMT and Separation
One video is included. Due to memory concerns and the time needed for lengthy downloads, the remaining three videos are available at Teachers Pay Teachers as a separate download (IntroChemistryVideos). The Introductory Chemistry program can be used without the videos and is a less expensive, less memory intensive option. See the .pdf read me file in the ChemoC1IntroToMatter folder to transfer the videos to the correct folder.
There are two available resources for learning how to use SciCo. These are available for free on my Teachers Pay Teachers site. They are:
• Introducing SciCo - a short video on how to use SciCo
• Using SciCo - a version of the SciCo program that teaches the user how to use SciCo.
