I find that many students already know these introductory words for Ecology. Instead of having them copy notes or definitions from the textbook, I have them work together to cutout these vocabulary words and match the definition. Then they find the matching picture that goes along with it. Some of the words are very similar and the pictures really make them discuss it with each other.
Setup to fit in composition notebooks. Students naturally understand that the dotted lines are meant to be cut.
Very good for inclusion and resource classes.
