This is a Power Point presentation that you can have students complete after researching an invasive species. This presentation could be used with any invasive species.
In the past, my students research an invasive species to the Great Lakes. We learn about zebra mussels, and complete the power point as a group project. Each student is assigned 1-2 slides to complete. For older students, you can assign the entire 10 slide project. After researching and completing the Power Point, we present our findings in front of the class.
The slides include:
What are they?
Where do they get their name?
Where do they live?
What carries this species from one place to another
How did they get into the area?
How do they affect or change the ecosystem?
How do they affect the food web?
How do they affect humans?
How can people prevent or control the spread ?
