"Karuta" is a Japanese card game that is based on slapping cards on a table. Students here will practice identifying the inverse operation for 1-step equations, by slapping the inverse operation card on a table. The student who correctly slaps the operation gets a point!
This PowerPoint contains instructions for students, practice problems, and 10 equations for them to play "Karuta" with. You'll find that students pick up the concept quickly, and absolutely LOVE this quick-thinking game.
The actual inverse operation cards can be found for FREE at my store. Print them out on cardstock so you can reuse them over and over!
