This is great for special education, autism and nonverbal kiddos. I use this for our state standards assesments like the VAAP. It is great for demonstrating investigation.
Here are some worksheets to help students investigate conductors and insulators. I gather all the items that they can test with and put it in a small bin. I give them a worksheet and the circuit set up for them to test items. They then are to find the object, test the item and then record what they saw. For students with fine motor difficulties I hold the item inside the circuit after they have selected it. I also use visual picture of conductor and insulator for practice first or my nonverbal kiddos so they can identify the conductor and insulator. I teach that conductor turns the light on and insulator no light.
