This easy to edit Word Document teaches the reasons why we teach common topics throughout the country using the Next Generation Science Standards. This document creates a pathway to addressing two Next Generation Science Standards right off the bat. Students read the directions, read the science standards, define key vocabulary in the standards to ensure that the standards are understood. Second, students work together in groups or individually to design a model or create an experiment to display understanding of the process of homeostasis and system interaction. Positive and Negative Feedback systems are touched on.
