This project in a nutshell is a chance for parents to invest in their child's learning building meaningful connections between home and school. Over the course of a month parents can invest time in activities that are connected to concepts learned in the classroom.
The time invested is intended to be a chance to engage in their child's learning.
This product can be used as monthly homework, homeschool work, or supplemental work for parents wanting to boost their educational experiences with their child.
- Talk with your family about a memorable event or tradition. Write and draw about it in your journal. You might want to try and make the event into a cartoon.
- Fold a paper airplane. Then write step by step directions for a friend. See if your parent, sibling or friend can follow your directions. Afterwards see if they were able to follow your directions. What worked? What was challenging?
- Count all of the pillows in your house. How did you choose to count? Explain in writing in your journal how you counted. Also show how you counted.
- Write a friendly letter to a favorite author or illustrator. Look their address up with some help. See if they will write back to you, many often do.
Wishing you Cheerful Learning!
