This teaching unit is to be used with the story "Invisible Lines" by Mary Amato. The unit includes pre-reading activities (anticipation guide and an online vocabulary review). During reading, students can complete ongoing activities, such as comprehension questions and vocabulary (matching, fill-in-the-blank, synonyms, and antonyms). After completion of the text, students can then demonstrate their level of understanding by choosing three activities from the assignment menu, thus demonstrating their level of understanding using a project-based model.
