HIGH INTEREST LITERARY GAME or an EASY SUB PLAN
This stand-alone activity has it all: no-prep, no prior knowledge needed except for a basic understanding of the literary term "irony," one class period activity, and a great review. Class discussion while reviewing answers will be lively!
Students work alone or in teams to answer some or all of the 33 photo-based questions inspired by Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic" while the song plays on "repeat." The catch? Photos/Questions are posted all over the classroom. Students need to move around to complete their answer sheets, which they can do in any order. Adaptable for shorter or longer class periods.
Turn up the volume and have some ironic fun!
