My students had a hard time using irregular verbs. I created these activities to help them.
There is one PowerPoint with 36 slides. It tells what irregular verbs are, why we have them, and discusses the common patterns. This presentation introduces students to Past Participles, The powerpoint includes activities for students, but you can modify them for your own needs.
There are two anchor charts. Once chart discusses what irregular verbs are. The other chart details the top 25 most used irregular verbs in writing. These anchor charts are in color as well as black and white. Each chart is made in a full size or a half size model. They are great for interactive notebooks and differntiation because I have included copies that are filled in as well as empty for students to begin taking notes.
Thirty-five task cards with QR codes allow students to have independent practice in a center or extra class time. There are two different types of recording sheets you can choose from to record answers.
Included are four different worksheets for students to use as guided or independent practice. Students may use their anchor charts as an aid or complete the worksheets alone as an assessment. Some of the worksheets are modified for differentiation.
These activities really helped my students. I hope they will help yours as well.
