Product Description
As students begin to learn about the world beyond their own homes and families, it is important to help them understand both the commonality of human experiences around the world, as well as the aspects which make cultures unique. To help them gain an understanding of these concepts, this lesson will invite them to compare children's lives in two particular countries-India and the United States. Using the book "Same Same But Different" as well as a series of art exercises, students will embark on a comparison of the experiences of the two children in the book, as well as examining their own lives. This lesson is the first in a series of lessons I've compiled into a book called "Global Kids: Helping Students Gain Perspective on their World"
